Oregon Mortgages (OR)

According to University of Oregon economist Tim Duy, as reported in the Register-Guard, "Oregon may be somewhat insulated from a housing slowdown compared to areas that have experienced more rapid price appreciation.” The economy in Oregon remains strong, and the housing market is still attracting buyers from more expensive markets such as California. Price appreciation is ranked seventh in the country. Mortgage rates fell slightly in early April, making this a good time to purchase or re-finance a home in Oregon.
